The digital download includes the whole instrumental version of Galatea, not included in the physical CD. It comes with and extra acoustix version of "Lola".

This record could be described as a searching for an existence and a lifestyle that is an end in itself through the rediscovery and deep knowledge of one's blood roots: bucolic and rural.
A search for inner serenity.
At the same time, it incites to turn life into art by finding something special and magical in every moment of every day and giving it a deep, precisely aesthetic meaning.

The element which connects all people and ethnic groups, the truly unique “social network" of this world has always been the sea, the water.
With the song “Anarada”, which is an ode to my blood family and Mediterranean’s geography and folk culture, the journey through the sea starts. From there it touches different shores, areas that have inspired me or with which I had connections in my life. The album ends by returning to the Mediterranean again with “Anarada” arranged with another dress. This represents the circularity, the unity that water creates on our Earth. Any place can be a departure and an arrival.

Within the roots discovery a refusal for the suffocating post-modern, technological and technologist actual society proceeds in parallel ( which is, altough, still so decadent and fascinating ).

The album’s title refers to Galatea Pygmalion’s statue, not really the nymph. Pygmalion rejected every earthly woman whom he thought was not worthy of his desire. His Galatea is a statue of Aphrodite built specifically for him. The myth tells that Aphrodite herself, moved by Pygmalion’s devotion to pure love, got down to the earth and gave life to the statue. It’s the representation of an ideal which comes true, but only due divine intervention.
The lover wants to create what he loves, do you agree?

This can be related to the Romantic concept of the “creating to create” that puts God and the artist at the same level: capable of creating and remodeling his product infinite times, with the only purpose of creating.

I was born and raised in Rome, but I have nothing roman in my blood. My father is Tunisian and my mother is Italian while her mother is Apulian and her father is Sardinian.
I had been in Spain in order to spend one year studying and I felt like a fanatic affection, besotted with the Andalusian people and their Flamenco culture.
I needed that detachment from my land to open my eyes and see what it possesses and how much it means to the Italy of Magna Graecia where I come from. By continuing to elaborate through time the impression I had, I understood that the phenomenon that fascinated me the most was the pride given to people by a simple fact of being so, which remains unchanged throughout centuries.

The first step to create the songs was to target a story or a character and then write an appropriate lyric. The second one was to find minimal and cinematic musical themes of few notes that represented them well enough. It was more difficult to understand which instrument could represent each melody among all those available.

Galatea is not a celebration of past or tradition but of an eternal temporal continuum instead.

Galatea is dedicated to my grandfather Sebastiano Sanna.

In Galatea we used no AutoTune and the minimum indispensable amount of editing.
"Anarada slow version" has no click and no editing.
